Mission Statement: Emerging Communities NJ advances the development of inclusive, diverse, and supported communities for all people including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through direct assistance, technical support, education, and service, we support the work of our partner organizations, freeing them to make a greater and more sustainable impact in the community.

Emerging Communities NJ specializes in:

Support services — direct assistance, education and technical support to nonprofit organizations providing direct services, housing and advocacy for underserved populations, particularly people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Direct services/training — training programs and technical assistance for human-service organizations serving people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and other underserved populations throughout New Jersey.

Advocacy — support for inclusive and diverse community living, educational and employment opportunities, and recreational opportunities for people with IDD and other underserved communities.
